A new General Director has been appointed at Metalloinvest Holding Company
The Board of Directors of Metalloinvest has made a decision to appoint Maxim Basov the General Cirector of the holding company. The director took up the appointment as of April, 20th.
Mr. Efendiev who was the General Director of Metalloinvest previously, will head the company’s metallurgical assets. He also will continue as the General Director of Urals Steel metallurgical plant and as a member of the Board of Directors of Metalloinvest Holding Company.
The main aim formulated for the new management of Metalloinvest is to make for the company’s extensive growth, further assets management efficiency and capitalisation increase.
«Metalloinvest boasts extensive resource, technological and staff potential, which paves his way to successful operation on domestic and internationla markets. This will enable the company to become one of the world’s top-10 metallurgical enterprises within 5 years”, Maxim Basov stated.
Maxim Basov’s Biography
Born in Moscow in 1975
Graduated from the University of New-York (USA) with a degree in Economics and Finance, International Business and Philosophy.
His working experience include different positions in the CitiBank, MFK Rennaissance and McKenzy & Co, as well as a position of general manager for Emax Russia. His management experience in the field of metallurgy include acting as deputy director for external investments at OAO Severstal, a position of development director at Severstal-Resource. He also was the financial director and the general director at Kuzbassugol. Since February 2004 he took up an appointment of the first vice-chairman at Interpipe Corporation.
Metalloinvest - a holding company including Mikhailovsky GOK iron ore mining and processing enterprise, Urals Steel metallurgical plant as well as Ormeto- Yuumz machine works and Metalloinvesttrans transport company. Metalloinvest also is a managing company for the Moldovan Metallurgical Plant and has a 28% stake in the Tulachermet iron works
