Gerdau to invest $5.5bn from 2010 to 2014 - CEO

Brazil's largest steelmaker says 80% of the investments will be within Brazil

SAO PAULO (Reuters)  - 

Gerdau (GGBR4.SA: Quote)(GGB.N: Quote), Brazil's largest steelmaker, plans capital expenditures of 9.5 billion reais ($5.5 billion) for the 2010-2014 period, with around 80 percent of the investments within Brazil, Chief Executive Andre Gerdau Johannpeter said on Thursday.
