Production Start At Kiere Mine Anticipated In October

Second Mine In Mali Could Be In Production Soon After

Red Rock Resources, the AIM-listed exploration and development company currently focused on advancing iron ore, uranium and manganese projects in Australia and East Africa, has acquired a 20p.c. equity stake in Africa China Mining Corporation (ACMC), a corporation incorporated in the Bahamas which holds manganese exploration assets and applications in Burkina Faso and Mali in West Africa. 

ACMC, through its subsidiary Burkina Manganèse SARL, holds a ten year renewable industrial mining permit to extract manganese from the Kiéré mine in the province of Tuy where it expects to commence production during October.

The executive directors of ACMC are Mr Lou Slaughter, and Mr Ron Slaughter who is resident in Burkina Faso.  

ACMC also has an application for an additional manganese resource pending in the neighbouring country of Mali, where it expects grant shortly. The management of ACMC is hopeful that production there can begin shortly after start-up at Kiéré.

Red Rock, its affiliates and associates have the right in certain circumstances to acquire an additional 20% interest in ACMC.
